DRIVEN BY WORDS: FANS TO CREATE NEW GULF X ATLASSIAN WILLIAMS RACING LIVERY

Fans around the world are invited to help create an iconic one-of-a-kind livery for Atlassian Williams Racing under a campaign announced today with partner Gulf Oil International at a special event in London.
Celebrating the passion and emotion that fuels racing at the pinnacle of motorsport, fans are being asked to submit the words that best capture what Williams and Gulf mean to them.
These messages of support, pride and love will be woven into a unique design fusing bold typography with the instantly recognisable Gulf colours that will transform the FW47 driven by Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz at this year’s Brazilian Grand Prix in November.
The Driven by Words campaign was unveiled by Gulf Oil International CEO Mike Jones at an exclusive event at Williams’ Fan Zone in London’s world-famous Piccadilly Circus, where he was joined by Team Principal James Vowles and Atlassian Williams Racing driver Alex Albon just days ahead of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
Starting today, fans will have until August 25 to make their voices part of this standout livery. By visiting williamsf1.com or gulfoilltd.com, they can submit five words a day to encapsulate the moments, ambitions and memories that make Williams and Gulf special – in any language, and from around the world.
This campaign will truly connect the feelings and dedication of the team’s global fanbase with the car on the racetrack – resulting in a striking Gulf x Atlassian Williams Racing livery that showcases the spirit of racing for the Brazilian GP at Interlagos, one of the most historic and exciting circuits on the calendar.
The Driven by Words campaign follows the hugely successful and award-winning Gulf x Williams Fan Livery Vote from 2023, which saw more than 180,000 votes cast from around the world to select the Bolder than Bold livery which ran on the FW45 at the Singapore, Japan and Qatar Grands Prix that year.
